At Never Is Now, we are proud to recognize Esta Gordon Epstein for her extraordinary, decades-long commitment to ADL and to advancing education as a powerful force against antisemitism and hate. Esta has led by example in the Boston community as a thoughtful advocate in her beloved city and beyond. We deeply appreciate Esta’s generous and thoughtful philanthropic support of ADL’s critical education work which has enabled generations of staff, students, and trainers to proactively fight antisemitism for our next generation. Each year, more than 4 million students and educators participate in ADL’s educational programs.
A long-time champion of ADL Education, Esta’s leadership has helped shape and strengthen ADL’s work with educators and students—making it especially fitting that we are naming ADL’s Education Tracks in her honor. A past Chair of ADL’s Board of Directors and ADL’s inaugural Chair of the Board, ADL has remained her top priority for more than 40 years. Over the course of her distinguished service, she has served as Executive Vice Chair of the National Advisory Board, Chair of the Regional Operations Committee, a two-term member of the National Executive Committee, and Chair of the Education Committee; she also led as Regional Board Chair of ADL’s New England Region and received ADL’s Distinguished Service Award. Her wonderful husband Robert joined Esta as Co-Chair of the A World of Difference Committee in Boston and also helped honor Esta as Boston’s 2022 Woman of Valor. ADL is deeply grateful to Esta and Bob for their commitment to championing ADL’s essential education work.
